Making a spectacular return, TEDxSVP marked its fourth year as a platform for sharing inspiring ideas and perspectives among the younger generation. Held at Sekolah Victory Plus on Friday (13/02/2026), the event featured a total of 11 speakers, consisting of students and invited guest speakers.

Amid rapid global changes in technology, society, culture, and the environment, individuals are increasingly challenged to adapt to unavoidable transformation. Carrying the theme Indispensable Shifts, TEDxSVP invited participants to view change not merely as a challenge, but as an opportunity that can be harnessed for growth and positive impact.

The event opened with a vibrant ethnic dance performance by Sekolah Victory Plus middle years students. The main programme then continued across four sessions, each presenting diverse topics and perspectives. Between sessions, entertainment performances helped enliven the atmosphere and maintain participants’ enthusiasm. Atika, a student who had previously spoken at TEDxSVP, shared her admiration for the event.

“The performances were amazing, and all the sessions were truly inspiring,” said Atika.

Three guest speakers at TEDxSVP brought diverse perspectives relevant to today’s challenges. Ario Ananggadipa Putra, Chief Product Officer & Head of Research at GRID, shared strategies for identifying opportunities amid various challenges. Meanwhile, Budi Christanto, a lecturer, Sekolah Victory Plus alumnus, and Co-Founder of Burpee.id, encouraged participants to continue humanizing humanity in the age of artificial intelligence. Completing the guest speaker lineup, Melvin Hade, Co-Founder of Kayella Consumer Partners, invited participants to reflect on how to avoid being overwhelmed by the fast pace of life.

“I hope TEDxSVP can become a platform that inspires students and young people across Indonesia and even the world in responding to life, technology, and global issues. This is an extraordinary initiative, and I believe Sekolah Victory Plus students are very fortunate to have an event like this,” said Melvin Hade.

In addition to the guest speakers, eight student speakers, consisting of two elementary school students and six junior and senior high school students, further enriched TEDxSVP with topics closely connected to the world of learners. One of them, Alyssa Izzahrania, a Grade 6 student, shared the results of her experiment on children’s gadget usage. In her talk, Alyssa conducted a survey of 52 peers to better understand patterns of gadget use and their impact on daily life.

Another student speaker, Shafa Maharani Lubis, invited participants to live by the principle of LIVE: Listen, Inquire, Venture, and Evolve. Through this concept, Shafa emphasized the importance of listening with empathy, having the courage to ask questions, taking action, and continuously growing in the face of change.

The enthusiasm surrounding the event was also felt by parents. Nyoman Purnaya, one of the attending parents, shared his impressions of TEDxSVP.

“It was very inspiring, especially hearing from the students. They all offered new insights, particularly for someone from an earlier generation like me in making use of technology,” he expressed.

Through TEDxSVP, Sekolah Victory Plus once again reaffirmed its commitment to creating a safe space for students to think critically, speak up with confidence, and prepare themselves for the challenges of a changing world. More than just a stage for sharing ideas, the event serves as a starting point for nurturing adaptive young leaders with global competitiveness.
