In the IB Middle Years Programme, students’ life skills and academic development are demonstrated through the Personal Project, where students independently identify, investigate, and address a real-world issue, applying the knowledge and skills acquired throughout the program to create positive change in their communities.

Understanding Grade 10 in the IB Programme

In the Indonesian national education system, Sekolah Menengah Pertama (SMP) typically ends in Grade 9, which may lead some parents to wonder why the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) continues through Grade 10.

The International Baccalaureate (IB) MYP is designed as a comprehensive programme for students aged 11–16, spanning Grades 7–10. Grade 10 serves as the final stage of the MYP and helps students build strong academic, critical thinking, and research skills before progressing to the IB Diploma Programme (DP) in Grades 11–12.

Yes. Students can enrol directly into Grade 10 provided they meet the school’s admission requirements and academic readiness criteria. Our academic team supports students in transitioning smoothly into the IB learning approach.
