As a school community, we understand how vital education is for the young generation’s future. However, there are still many children from underprivileged families who do not have access to quality education. This phenomenon grabbed the attention of our Parent Support Group (PSG) team. The team were compelled to take action, supporting them through a donation.
We were fortunate to support Sekolah Kami, located in Bintara Jaya, Bekasi. Founded by Dr. Irina Amongpraja (Ibu Ina), the school provides education to children who would otherwise lack access. Ibu Ina was inspired to leave her medical career after witnessing children scavenging through trash instead of attending school. With dedication, she and a group of volunteers transformed a former dump site into a place of learning and hope.
On November 12, 2025, our Parent Support Group visited Sekolah Kami and shared the happiness with the children.
PSG’s Donation Drives Impact: From Stationery to Health Equipment
The donation began weeks ahead of time, with the school community rallying to collect essential supplies, funds, and medical equipment. The response was incredible, as families came together to contribute what they could, understanding how these donations could transform the lives of children in need.
The PSG team also distributed the donation to homeless children and elderly residents at a local shelter. The act of reaching out to both the educational sector and broader community members highlights how the PSG team demonstrated the power of collective effort in making a meaningful, lasting impact through action.
As a school community, we dedicate ourselves not only to educating our children, but also helping our broader community to make a better future, extending the positive influence of our school community to the wider world.
