For the past six years, Bapak David and his family have been an integral part of SVP. With two children—Chelsea, now in Grade 9, and Chloe, in Grade 7—they have experienced firsthand the school’s profound impact on academic and personal growth.
“It feels good. My wife and I are very pleased to be part of the SVP community,” shared David, a parent at Sekolah Victory Plus (SVP). “I’ve participated in an event at the school as a Celebrity Chef, which was great—teaching some of the parents how to cook. My wife and I have also attended Morning Tea sessions and other activities, allowing us to get to know some of the teachers and the school’s management.”

A Welcoming and Engaging Environment
When his family moved from Australia, the children faced challenges with the Indonesian language. However, SVP provided a supportive environment that helped them improve significantly. “Our children were very lacking in Bahasa Indonesia, but once they enrolled in the school, they improved,” David recalled.
Beyond academics, both children actively participate in extracurricular activities and are part of the Dream Team. “The older one, Chelsea, was a part of the student council in Primary School, which helped give her confidence” he added.
Socially, SVP has helped the children thrive. “Since being at the school, both girls have improved with their social skills. They’ve made many friends and adapted to different learning environments,” David noted.
A Commitment to Student Well-being
Recently, one of David’s daughters experienced online bullying, which deeply affected her. “It really affected her, and so I talked to the management of the school and the counselor as well. They were very supportive of my daughter,” he explained.
During this process, he discovered SVP’s firm stance on bullying. “We found out that the school has a very zero-tolerance policy towards bullying, which is very good as a parent. They provided support for my child, which we’re very appreciative of.”

The management as well. They have very strong ethics and guide our students toward great goals and accomplishments in their studies,” David emphasized.
He recognizes that SVP plays a crucial role in shaping their children’s future. “We acknowledge that the school plays a big part in growing their future,” he concluded.
